Once upon a tulip

Once upon a tulip

"The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough"

Most of us have read the old English folktale “the tulip fairies.” In this beautiful story a little fairy mother croons and rocks the flower like a cradle, where in each tulip cup lays a little baby fairy laughing and playing.

March is just around the corner and is a very special month because it celebrates motherhood and womanhood: UK Mothers Day, International Women’s Day and UAE Mothers Day. We have four words for that indispensable guide to what every woman wants: a bouquet of tulips.

We are working on custom creating bouquet styles for these special days. One of the predominant flowers for our compositions this year will be the tulip. Purple tulips like the one in the picture are associated with royalty. While, we are planning to stock tons of mimosa, which is the symbol of international Women’s day in Italy and Russia, you will see other gorgeous varieties such as clematis, scabiosa, garden roses, viburnum, sweet peas and ranunculus.

Nawal is a mother of four and one of our very “world-ready” and independent clients. She popped into one of our boutiques this week and very excitedly mentioned that she is looking forward to all her bouquets for Mother’s day because she gets one from each of her children. She said every year her husband and children present these to her with breakfast in bed. The best part according to her is that each bouquet is so different from the other and each year the seasonal flower variety expands. She’s always surprised by a new variety.
